What is a Lampe Berger?

At formal dinners in France and throughout Europe, the hint of rose in the room has been a ritual for centuries and often coincides with the lighting of the after-dinner cigar. The pure and light scent of the rare rose perfume comes from the Berger Lampe.

As common as afternoon tea in Britian or dinner by candlelight, the Berger Lampe is a French tradition. Not only is the fragrance of rose delightful year 'round, but it destroys smoke and other unpleasant odors.

Maurice Berger, a pharmacist, discovered one hundred years ago, the catalytic qualities that enable Lampe Berger to absorb and destroy offensive odors and tobacco smoke. Nowadays they continue to operate according to this unique method.

There is a choice of 32 fragrances, all natural, floral, ambers, sweet, spicy, classical and contemporary, to help create atmosphere in the homes, offices, waiting rooms, and wherever there is a need for comfort and well-being, with Lampe Berger perfuming an interior becomes a great art.

How do I refill my Lampe Berger?

Catalysis and your Lampe Berger.

	1. Fill the lamp to 2/3 full with one of our Parfumes de Maison. Light the burner, and after 2 minutes blow the flame out.		2. The catalytic burner is the key componenent of the lamp. When operating it reaches extremely high temperatures. It is within this burner that catalytic combustion takes place.

	3. The movement of air around the burner ensures a thorough deodorizing action.		4. The burner permits the destruction of the molecules which cause unpleasant odors such as tobacco, cooking and other domestic smells. It also halts the proliferation of bacteria.

	5. At its center it diffuses the Parfum de Maison contained within the Lampe Berger.		6. The three basic functions of the Lampe Berger - destruction of odors, diffusion of Parfum de Maison and cleansing by preventing the proliferation of bacteria - are performed simultaneously.

Other Bridal Essentials

Our T-Lite Top and Oil Lamp sculptured candles come standard with a recessed t-lite, allowing the candle to be burned without destroying the sculptured design. Optionally, the t-lite and the "spacer" under it can be removed and replaced with a mini oil lamp which comes with a funnel for filling. We also offer the candlabra stand for your wax unity candles.
